While most watches are content with a single tachymeter, pulsograph, etc., Bell & Ross has assembled no less than five chronograph scales for the BR 03-94 Multimeter, all focused on addressing the needs of the athlete or fitness enthusiast: a pulsometer to track heart rate, an asthmometer to track the frequency of breaths, and three tachymeters deigned to measure speed in kph over distances of 100m, 250m and 1km respectively, as they are optimized for measuring speeds in running, cycling and driving.
The date window has been moved to a new position between 12 and one o’clock so as not to obscure the chronograph readings, and the left side of the dial provides handy instructions to interpret the scales, which are distinguished from each other through the use of attractive, bright colors. The black ceramic case in matte finish not only provides a handsome contrast to this functional livery, but it is also light and eminently suited to a sportier wearer.
