But that’s not to say that Laurent Ferrier isn’t all that stranger to color. In the more modest Sport line, a certain Auto 40 was a delightful myriad of green, purple, and yellow, reminiscent of the 1979 Porsche 935 Turbo N°40 edition once raced by Laurent Ferrier himself.
Although they’ve certainly upped the ante with this special Grand Sport Tourbillon. In a deep petrol green lacquer dial, the distinctive guilloché pattern enhances the dial’s depth, reacting dynamically to light. The freehand wave pattern that alternates between the shimmering strips of teal creates an optical illusion, as if the dial was floating on the ocean’s surface. And all the better for it because this is arguably the most fun-looking Grand Sport T from the brand just yet. Legibility remains paramount, with white Super-Luminova enhancing the Assegai-shaped hands and drop-shaped indices.
