We kick off 2023 with the first fair of the year, LVMH Watch Week, with its fourth edition being held in Singapore at the luxurious and scenic Capella Hotel. Wei speaks to Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, BVLGARI’s Product Creation Executive Director about the new Divas’ Dream floral collection and the Serpenti Tubogas Infinity.
Stigliani details the technical challenges of redesigning the Tubogas bracelet to accommodate a new gem-setting that traces the seductive lines from watch head to bracelet tip. Each segment of the bracelet is uniquely proportioned and has to undergo a process of polishing, diamond-setting and finally careful placement around a titanium skeleton. This creates a suppleness to the bracelet that comfortably wraps around the wrist.
The new flower-shaped Divas’ Dream watches showcase the synergies of BVLGARI’s jewellery making in Italy and its watchmaking in Switzerland. A series of colored gems in refined settings adorn the mobile petals surrounding the watch case, giving off a sense of effortless fluidity and flair. These watches will look at home at any cocktail party.
Although the Octo Finissimo is not the focus at this fair, we could not ignore its outsized impact on the entire industry in 2022 and that’s why the Revolution Watch of the Year goes to none other than the Octo Finissimo Ultra!
