The Czapek & Cie Antarctique S Mirrored Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition was specially created to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Sincere Fine Watches.
The 38-piece limited edition Antarctique S in Platinum is Czapek’s first watch featuring both a mirrored finish silicon wafer dial and bimetallic case and bracelet.
From the press release:
A Milestone Anniversary
In celebration of its Platinum Jubilee, Sincere Fine Watches, the exclusive Czapek & Cie retailer in Southeast Asia, has collaborated with the Swiss independent Maison to create a unique Antarctique S.
This special edition features a distinctive mirrored dial and a case and bracelet crafted from a blend of steel and yellow gold.
The dial of the Antarctique S Mirrored Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition is made from a single silicon wafer that is coated with a thin layer of platinum for it to become even more reflective.
“We proposed a mirrored dial to Czapek not only for its bold and unique aesthetic but also for its deeper significance. The mirror symbolizes the passage of time, allowing us to reflect on the past 70 years and our many milestones. The infinite depth of the mirrored surface represents the boundless possibilities of the future,” says Mr. Ong Ban, CEO of Sincere Watch Limited.
“This design also reflects the enduring partnership between Sincere and Czapek & Cie, a relationship built on mutual trust and a shared commitment to honoring and reinterpreting traditions.”
Sporty Elegance
Czapek & Cie’s Antarctique S Mirrored Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition embodies the brand’s philosophy of blending high-end mechanics with aesthetic creativity. This edition reinterprets the Antarctique’s sporty elegance with a striking mirrored dial, developed in collaboration with MD’Art.
For the very first time for Czapek & Cie, the dial is made from a single silicon wafer – a semiconductor better known for its use in microelectronics and photovoltaics.
A very thin disc of the crystalline silicon is polished to create a perfectly smooth and shiny surface before a fine PVD coating of platinum is applied, amplifying the reflective qualities of the silicon wafer.
The Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition marks the first time Czapek & Cie has chosen a bimetallic bracelet and case for their timepieces.
The mirrored dial, reflecting Sincere’s creative vision, highlights MD’Art’s exceptional technical expertise and the innovative spirit of Czapek & Cie. Complementing the dial, the watch features a bimetallic bracelet and case—Czapek & Cie’s first use of this combination.
The choice to debut their bimetallic bracelet and case in this collaboration with Sincere Fine Watches not only adds a refined contrast to the timepiece, but also stands as a resounding testament to the formidable bond shared between Czapek & Cie and Sincere Fine Watches.
“To celebrate Sincere’s Platinum Jubilee, we aimed to use platinum in an unexpected way,” says Czapek’s CEO, Xavier de Roquemaurel. “By combining Sincere’s concept of a mirrored dial with MD’Art’s exceptional technical skills, we’ve created something truly remarkable. This collaboration highlights the creative partnerships that define Czapek’s strength.”
“We had long considered introducing a bimetallic bracelet and case,” he continues. “We realized it perfectly complements the mirrored dial. Featuring it for the first time on this special edition is a fitting tribute to our close partnership with Sincere.”
Powering the Antarctique S Mirrored Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition is the Caliber SXH5, Czapek & Cie’s first movement that was conceived entirely in-house.
The Czapek & Cie Antarctique S Mirrored Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition is powered by the Calibre SXH5, the manufacture’s first movement conceived entirely in-house and originally launched with the Antarctique in May 2020.
Its distinctive architecture features seven skeletonized bridges inspired by the pocket watch calibers of the renowned 19th-century watchmaker, François Czapek. Combining traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation, the movement includes a free-sprung balance and an elegant micro-rotor made from recycled 950 platinum.
The exquisite finishes showcase a striking interplay of contrasts, blending hand-beveled angles with state-of-the-art laser engraving for a dynamic play of light, dark, textured, and polished surfaces.
A special touch is added with Sincere’s 70th anniversary commemorative logo transferred on the caseback, marking this edition as a fitting tribute to the enduring collaboration and shared vision of excellence between Czapek & Cie and
Sincere Fine Watches.
The 38-piece limited Czapek & Cie Antarctique S Mirrored Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition will be available at all Sincere Fine Watches Boutiques with a retail price of SGD$48,800 (including GST).
