Louis Moinet, has released the Impulsion Monopusher Chronograph-Flying Tourbillon with Black Onyx under an open dial. French horologist Louis Moinet (1768–1853), a friend of Abraham-Louis Breguet, is recognized as being the inventor of the chronograph, having developed and created his Compteur de Tierces in 1815-1816.
The modern Louis Moinet brand paid homage to the Compteur de Tierces, with their Memoris chronograph, which was the first watch to put the chronograph mechanism fully visible dial side.

Now, Louis Moinet has added a flying tourbillon to their monopusher column wheel chronograph and called it Impulsion. This entailed developing two mainspring barrels in series offering a very generous power reserve of 95-hours.

While the case of the Impulsion Onyx is in red gold, a middle case in titanium and hollowed-out lugs keep the weight down and make this 42.5 mm watch very wearable. A highly domed crystal ensures that all of the intricate micro-mechanics and displays are on full view.

This Impulsion Onyx uses the jet-black semi-precious stone as a high contrast background, making the mechanisms and the bright red hands of the chronograph indications pop even more.
