One standout feature of the AquaSport GMT is its smart use of colours. On the version with the two-tone bezel, bright and contrasting colours have been employed to enhance the playful side of the watch, highlighting the extra large markers. However, on the other version, the monochromatic grey palette immediately turn the watch into a technical-looking piece that is defined by its instant legibility and clarity. That said, the grey version still has attractive details such as the light blue seconds hand and bezel filling, adding some life to the technical look.
It’s worth mentioning that the watch is powered by the Sellita SW300-2, an upgraded version of the SW300-1. Unlike the SW300-1, which is a clone of the ETA 2893, the SW300-2 has a redesigned barrel that increases the power reserve from 42 to 56 hours. According to Sellita, the GMT mechanism has also been upgraded, though it remains an “office” GMT where the 24-hour hand can be quickset instead of the 12-hour hand.
