William Massena is the visionary founder of Massena LAB, who brings three decades of watch collecting and curation expertise to the table.

At Massena LAB, William and his team explore the uncharted territory of “What if?”, to make watch enthusiasts’ dreams come to life. Their creations have left their mark on the watch world, resulting in some of the most sought-after contemporary timepieces on the market.

In 2020 he created the Uni-Racer series, out of the sheer frustration of not being able to get hold of the short-lived “Uni-Compax” made by Universal Geneve in the 1960s. Due to limited production of approximately two years, the “Uni-Compax” are extremely rare and accordingly, commanded high premiums at auctions. Frustrated, Massena decided to create his own version, and he named it the Uni-Racer.

For William, it’s not just about nostalgia; it’s about crafting a watch that stands the test of time and, importantly, one that functions well in current times. Said Massena about our collaboration, “Look, when someone picks up this Uni-Racer, I want them to immediately feel the quality and attention to detail. Yes, it’s a bit fun and quirky to be inspired by a vintage reference 130, but we need to create a timepiece that feels perfect on the wrist, functions flawlessly and that has that sense of quality and permanence that will have you wearing it for decades!”

In conceiving the Massena LAB x Revolution Uni-Racer 1949, our aim was to honor the classic design elements of this elusive unicorn while infusing it with contemporary functionality and practicality — making it perfect for everyday wear.

The Massena LAB x Revolution Uni-Racer 1949 is made in just 120 examples and is priced at USD 3,750 excluding taxes. It is available on RevolutionWatch.com on 28 July 2023, 10pm SGT / 4pm CET / 10am EST. Email [email protected] to register your interest.
